Today's word is BECKON. "To BECKON means "to show or make a signal to someone to come closer". You can beckon for example a waiter. Sometimes some things BECKON you = they seem to be particularly attractive, e.g. a career in pop-culture may beckon a young person.
I have never come across this word. Is it possible?
